Finding work while autistic

I know that I have always had problems interviewing. My problem is that I can't make eye contact when I'm nervous, a common problem among autistics. Interviewers say, well he's nice, but he doesn't look us in the eye and that's creepy. From other postings on autism board wrongplanet.net, it seems that most autistics have trouble holding down jobs. Only 10% of us are gainfully employed! Employers seem to value "fitting in" and playing "office politics" far more than actually doing the job correctly. The work world will have to change, or else society runs the risk of millions of alienated autistics causing trouble in the future. Already some autistics talk about "aspie armies" overthrowing the system. In the future it may not be just the whining of teenagers.
